Course Description:
'' This course draws on the latest negotiation research, and uses your own experience, to build your skill and confidence as a highly effective negotiator. In a safe environment, you have the opportunity to practise, and receive feedback on, the use of different approaches to negotiation in the context of both individual case studies, and of a multi-party team negotiation. The practical implications of alternative strategies and tactics are examined, as are the elements of persuasive power, structuring the process for optimal effect, maximising potential value, managing power and information, preparing for negotiations, dealing with difficult people, breaking deadlocks, and managing team negotiations.
Who should attend? This course has been designed for professionals with little formal training in negotiation who want both an understanding of different negotiation approaches and practical experience in using these skills.
Learning outcomes By the end of this course, you will have learned: - the benefits and risks of alternative strategies and tactics - a conceptual framework for strategising for and undertaking negotiations - skill and confidence in dealing with difficult situations.
