Course Format: Classroom | E-learning | Virtual Class | Online/Live | On-site/In-house | Blended | Self-paced
Course Description:
'' Our ability to have successful work relationships is often influenced by our own self-awareness and management of our emotions. This introductory course will help you to develop a greater level of self-awareness and an inner sense of how you react to differing people situations in the workplace. Self-awareness is the key to enhancing your personal and professional relationships. According to Daniel Goleman, one of the most potent influences on our thoughts, attitudes and behaviours is emotional self-awareness - the ability to consciously understand how our internal states, inclinations, personal resources and intuitions affect our behaviour and our relationships. Therefore, understanding our emotions and being aware of our behaviour can empower us to modify our approach where necessary. This is particularly important in the workplace where social and emotional adaptation is the key to high performance. In this course, you will have an opportunity to explore your intra-personal strengths and reflect on areas where you can improve your interpersonal effectiveness at work.
Prior to the course, you will be required to complete a self-assessment, and have two or three of your colleagues complete an assessment about your interpersonal style.
