'' In four days, youll learn and practise leading edge professional and personal precision skills for building relationships that work and then you will take these skills successfully into your professional environment. Transforming Communication is founded on the use of leading edge skills to create co-operation and resolve conflict. The four day seminar was developed by Dr Richard Bolstad and the late Margot Hamblett, based on Richards book of the same name. The conflict resolution model it teaches draws on Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP), Solution focused approaches, and Effectiveness Training (Thomas Gordon). Transforming Communication has been taught to professionals working in the field of relationships in several continents, including in Sarajevo, Bosnia-Herzegovina soon after the war there. Transforming Communication has also been taught in-house for New Zealand Government and private organisations. For every topic covered you will get to practise the technique with others using examples that are relevant to leadership and management, and then discuss what you find.
Who should attend? This course is targeted and customised for professionals who work in leadership or management, and who are responsible for managing and supporting the professional development of other staff.
Learning Outcomes By the end of this course, you will be able to: - build rapport with others quickly so as to gain their co-operation and trust - increase others�ability to resolve their own difficulties and meet their own outcomes - get others to respect your needs and cooperate with you - resolve discipline and conflict problems in organisations or with others, without resorting to threats or punitive action - create and action solutions that truly meet your own outcomes as well as others - influence others successfully while keeping rapport.
