Course Description:

'' This course enables engineers, scientists and technologists to enhance the power of Excel by writing VBA programs to process data. It is based on practical examples and concentrates on applications likely to be of use in technical applications. The course consists of a mix of instruction and hands-on time on PCs. A purpose-written course book assists participants to work through the capabilities of Visual Basic for Applications (VBA). Participants will be given a number of examples which they can adapt to their own problems.

VBA is the programming language used for writing macros for Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint. It is available on any computer with these applications and is a user-friendly programming environment that can deliver results quickly and robustly.

Who should attend?
This course is designed for engineers, scientists and technologists who already have a good working knowledge of spreadsheeting, but who would like to make better use of their PCs to solve problems involving user-defined functions, data input, output and transfer, and automation of regular activities.
