'' Competing in today’s marketplace is becoming more difficult. Customers are more demanding, market conditions change rapidly and growing competition often squeezes profit margins and makes differentiation difficult, yet some companies are doing phenomenally well and are outstripping the competition with better products, services and processes. Some put this down to skill and talent, but this is a small part of the story. Design is a discipline based on consistent principles. This course works through the principles of design to provide a framework for any company in any sector. Equipped with this, you can objectively and consistently evaluate your companys products, services and processes, and move towards creating offerings which are more compelling to the market, and hence more successful. The course considers the advantages of being design-led, focuses on implementing design principles at every level of the organisation, and lays out a process for pursuing design leadership for business growth. It also covers three key steps that every organisation should undertake to improve design quality and the success of its products and services - understand your values, understand your customers, and encourage innovation.
Who should attend? The course is aimed at managers and CEOs. It is intended for those who have an influence on organisation strategy and design and have the ability to mandate change.
