'' This "behind-the-scenes" study tour of some of the most renowned restaurants in Los Angeles--a city newly recognized for both world-class design and haute cuisine--includes on-site explanations and discussions by the designers, architects, chefs, and/or owners. Students gain insight into justifications behind individual layout and design concepts for front-of-the-house, kitchens, and bathrooms, which relate to the specific style and function of each restaurant. Previously visited sites include Saladang Song, Elevate/Takami, Lucky Devils, James Beach, Tangu, Abode, Rustic Canyon, and Wilshire. ...''
