'' Film Classics are classic for a reason - as such, they need to be reviewed and reconsidered. This course will introduce a rich body of films that have attained the status of classic and are required knowledge for anybody interested in film as an art form. You will not only become familiar with several of the most important films in history, but will gain an understanding of the wider context of film production in the classical era. We will examine in detail the work of Orson Welles, Alfred Hitchcock and Stanley Kubrick, among others. ...''
