Functions and Differential Calculus : Types of functions, diagrammatic presentation and functions, applications - Concept of differentiation rules of derivation, concavity and convexity, maxima and minima, business applications.
UNIT - II
1. Linear Programming, Graphical and simplex method.
2. Correlation and Regression : Co-efficient of correlation, estimation and regression parameters, co-efficient of determination. Major pitfall in regression analysis.
UNIT - III
Investment Decisions and Decision Under Uncertainty : Net present value and internal rate of return methods. Uncertainty analysis, sensitivity analysis. - Probability distribution, mathematical expectation, expected value criteria.
UNIT - IV
Input-Output analysis and matrix algebra.
