Maclagan Committee-salient features and provision of Gujarat Co-operative societies Act, 1961 - Gujarat co-operative societies Rules, 1965. -Societies which may be registered (Sect-4) Registration with limited or unlimited liability (Sect-5) -conditions for Registration (Sect-6), provisional Registration (Sect-9) Power of Registrar to decide certain cases (Sect-11) classification of societies (Sect-12) cancellation of Registration (Sect-15,16,17,18,19,20) Bye laws - Amendment of By-Laws (Sect-13)-Power to direct amendment of by laws (Sect-14) Person who may become member (Sect-22) - Removal from membership (Sect-23) - Type of members (Sect-24,25) -Ceasation of membership (Sect-26) -Voting powers of members (Sect-28) -Restrictions on holding of shares (Sect-29) -Restrictions on transfers of shares (Sect-30) -Right of members to see books (Sect-33) -Liability of persons who has ceased to be a member (Sect-34) -Expulsion of member (Sect-36,39) UNIT - II Multi Unit Co-operative Societies act, 1942 Impact of Co-operative Law on Co-operative Management.
