III. 1. The Vedic Period: Theories on the origin of Aryans and vedic literature. Economic, religious and political life. 2. Political Institution of Ancient India: State (a) Monarchic (b) Republican 3. Social Institutions of ancient India: (a) Varnasrama system, ( b) Educational System (c)Position of women and marriage systems.
