Course Description:

'' The one-year Entertainment Business Management program at VFS emphasizes intellectual property law, negotiations, marketing, deal-making, and financial strategies.

What you will learn in one year assures you gain the inside track to access the high-powered business of film, the competitive world of the music industry, the lucrative ventures in new media and the Internet, and the skill-set to become an influential manager or talent agent.

Throughout their year, students benefit from the program’s close ties to the entertainment industry. From regularly scheduled private tours of sports stadiums, music labels, and broadcasters to regular guest speakers from diverse backgrounds in the business, students are already connected to the industry when they graduate.

For their Final Project, students collaborate with their peers in other departments to pitch and develop concepts. Whether it’s a film, audio recording, game, or a live event, the project provides invaluable hands-on producing experience and a chance to parlay the talent in the other 12 programs at VFS into a well-rounded portfolio.
