'' Policy follows a cycle of forming, implementing, and revisioning—never a dull moment here! This course introduces the policy cycle, and explores the tools that policy-makers may use to reach the policy directions that affect us daily. It will be of interest to public-sector planners and policy developers who are implicated in this cycle, and to private-sector and volunteer-sector organizations which variously reap the benefits and suffer the consequences of good and bad public policy. Democracy just works better with good bones underneath. ...''
