'' People are an organizations greatest asset and biggest expense. Thus, in todays competitive environment, most organizations are seeking ways and means to better utilize their human resources.
Human Resource Management (HRM) is the profession concerned with obtaining, developing, maintaining and utilizing an organizations human resources. Besides the traditional personnel functions, HRM encompasses the strategic matching of human resources to other strategic initiatives. It includes strategic planning, human resource planning and human resource development.
Upon acceptance into the program, candidates begin their studies by registering for the university courses.
Following the completion of the university courses, students would enroll as part-time students at Holland College and complete the necessary skills modules.
Concurrently or subsequently, students work (voluntarily) in the personnel office of an organization to meet the field placement requirement. ...''
