Course Description:
'' The Mobile Crane Operator Course is a comprehensive 320 hour program designed and approved by The International Union of Operating Engineers as a standardized curriculum for apprentices and upgrading operating skills.
This program consists of 50% classroom training, and 50% field training/practical on hoisting equipment. This program is based on the following four units of instruction:
Unit 1 Technical Knowledge 42 Hours Unit 2 Site 16 Hours Unit 3 Load Charts 66 Hours Unit 4 Operations 36 Hours
Curriculum supplied for the participants, consists of four binders with handouts, one IPT Crane & Rigging Training Manual and a copy of the Nova Scotia Occupational Health & Safety Act and Regulations. Each instructional unit is comprised of numerous modules, each of which has safe work practices and regulations as part of lectures and discussions ...''
