'' A certificate will be awarded upon successful completion of this 14 week (530 hours) training session. This program trains students for entry level positions in carpentry. Carpenters construct, erect and repair buildings made of wood, wood structures, steel and other materials. In residential jobs they build the house framework including walls, roof, exterior and interior finishes. They install doors, windows, cabinets, stairs, handrails, mouldings and ceiling tiles. In commercial jobs they build concrete forms, scaffolding, trestles, shelters and other structures. Carpenters must work accurately, economically and follow national and local building codes. Some carpenters specialize in one type of work such as framing, bench work or finish work. ...''
