This program trains students for entry level positions in the field of electrical. Electricians install and maintain electrical systems designed to provide heat, light, power, control, signal or fire alarms for all types of buildings, structures and premises including residential, commercial, institutional or industrial facilities. In general they read and interpret drawings and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts. They cut, thread, bend and install conduits, pull wire through conduits, install data cabling, test circuits to ensure integrity and safety, install distribution and control equipment such as switches, relays, circuit breakers and enclosures. ...''
