Course Description:

'' The Network Administration Program is designed to assist students to develop the necessary knowledge, skills and competencies to attain entry-level employment opportunities as a Network Administrator. A significant portion (65%) of the course is now used for hands-on activities to ensure that the student is fully prepared for a career in the Networking field. Industry certifications and theory are still important components of the program and help continue the Oulton tradition of producing the most competent Networking graduates in the province. Oulton College will reimburse the cost of each successfully completed certification obtained during the program. While many other institutions offer opportunities to achieve Microsoft designations such as MCSE for Microsoft Server 2003, Oulton College has been offering their students the opportunity and training to achieve the newest designation offered by Microsoft: the Server Administratior designation based on Mircrosoft Server 2008

Real-life networking experience is achieved by OJT periods. Numerous industry driven projects that utilize all of the student’s new found competencies and the use of state of the art equipment in a team-based atmosphere. The college is committed to educational excellence and the focus of our activities is to foster IT excellence and interest in careers within the high-tech and science sector. We work closely with industry to produce up-to-date, practical learning experiences and outcomes for students, job seekers and career changers.
