Course Description:

'' Projects are being undertaken in all aspects of our lives and organisations invest heavily in projects each year. This practical two day program is a comprehensive introduction to the core people related skills required to lead a project team to deliver a successful project outcome. Designed to complement AIM’s other project management courses, which focus on the processes of project management, it will address some of the key challenges faced by project managers in managing project teams and stakeholders.

Content
Identify core people knowledge and skills to effectively lead diverse project teams, including circumstances where the project manager has no formal authority over members of the project team
Identify interpersonal skills required to achieve optimum project outcome, dealing with clients, sponsors and other stakeholders
Identify and leverage the diversity in the project team and tap into individual motivational needs
How to integrate a strong people focus with the plans and processes that underpin the project environment including continuous improvement and change management

Create and build a positive project team environment
Build productive team relationships
Build engagement, commitment and trust (within the team and with stakeholders)
Facilitate solution-focused conversations
Uncover and leverage existing people resources in your team
Develop a communications plan which addresses the “how�elements (e.g. questioning, influencing, engaging etc)
Plan for and facilitate effective project meetings
Effectively manage conflict in a project team environment ...''
