'' The mining and resources sector has often been seen as able to attract talented staff because it has generous remuneration and benefits packages. Despite this, the sector still experiences shortages of skilled people and has challenges in retaining staff.
The focus of this one day program is on short and longer term strategies that companies can introduce to increase the pool of talented people available, engage the existing workforce, and build a realistic employer of choice culture.

Population statistics, forecasts and their impact.
Strategies for retention:

Allowing employees to see a future (competency frameworks, succession planning, mentoring and coaching)
Offering flexibility; what does this mean and how do you practically do it?
Understanding generational differences and what’s expected from management and leadership
Becoming an employer of choice; what does it really mean?
