Course Description:

'' The field of Emotional Intelligence has been considered a hot topic in the area of management development since Daniel Goleman’s book Emotional Intelligence was published in 1995. Whilst the field remains as contentious today as when this book was first written, the ensuing debate as to the importance of Emotional Intelligence has led to a flurry of academic and applied research activity. The result of which is that our understanding of Emotional Intelligence and the role that it plays in determining an individual’s success and happiness in both personal and professional spheres is becoming increasingly clear. Leading with Emotional Intelligence captures the latest thinking in the field, condenses it into manageable and understandable language and provides compelling evidence of its importance in the workplace. Throughout the program participants are challenged to consider their own level of emotional awareness (in both themselves and others) and to experiment in a bid to improve their emotional competencies. Theory and practice come together in this intensive program, ensuring participants conclude the day with a comprehensive awareness and knowledge, and an overview of emotional intelligence skills development strategies.
