'' This is the first time that there have been four generations in the workforce at once. Not only are younger managers faced with keeping pace with technological advancements and constant change, they are also expected to manage people who have many more years experience in the field: a potentially intimidating task for anyone. The reward for being a capable employee is usually promotion into supervision and then into the management ranks. This is an interesting transition. Learning the disciplines of achieving results through other people requires a careful blend of technical and interpersonal skills and can only be gained through direct experience. This program is a highly practical and interactive experience, designed to cover skills that can be used back in the workplace immediately. Building on the existing knowledge and talent of the participants, the program guides younger managers to develop the necessary habits and disciplines of managing through influence rather than rank and authority. Join other younger managers to gain a better understanding of your own strengths and avoidances and share experiences with other in a similar position.
