History of animation, methods of production in commercial animation, theory of comedy, developing a narrative, scriptwriting & editing. Participants view screenings of animated programs on TV and in the FTI Cinema.

Areas of Study
Traditional and Computer based 2D Animation
Classic animation production techniques, professional digital animation techniques, cartooning & visual narrative skills in drawing and sequential storytelling.

3D Studies Modelling & Animation
3D digital models and images, 3D digital animation techniques, lighting and camera effects, keyframing animation & motion capture.

Post Production
Soundtracks, editing dialogue & sound, operating non-linear editing systems.
