'' According to a recent article in “Joboom� Les Metiers de la Formation Professionnelle, this program is ranked among the top 50 professional vocational programs when it comes to job opportunities in the province of Quebec. The field of telecommunications is in constant evolution with the technology changing at a very rapid pace. Graduates from Telecommunications programs have to be willing to embrace continued professional development and training. They must be versatile and polyvalent to adapt quickly to changes in order to stay on top of the technology. In addition, technicians must develop their skills to deal with the public. They are in the front lines representing their company when they proceed to the installation of equipment.

The training will focus on acquiring the following competencies:
Acquire the knowledge, skills and attitudes required to install cables and telecommunications equipment in telecommunications central offices
Establish connections to a wired and wireless telecommunications network
Install and repair wires and equipment
Install and repair cable television systems ...''
