'' As one of the earliest remedial practices of humankind, massage therapy existed even in ancient civilizations. Massage has been said to be the most natural and instinctive means of relieving pain and discomfort. Although it has been a major part of medicine for at least 5,000 years, western medical traditions only began to recognize its importance in the last 3,000 years. Medical books dating back to 500 BC have extensively recorded massage as a recognized form of therapy.
MaKami College offers a twenty-six week program in Massage Therapy, including 1,000 hours of instruction time.
