'' The private licence is required for individuals and helicopter owners who do not intend on working in the commercial industry. The specified 45 hours of flight time is a minimum requirement and private pilot students may require additional flight training hours to meet the training and flight test standards and to be accomplished at helicopter emergency procedures.

REQUIRMENTS
You must be seventeen years of age.
- Obtain a Category 3 Medical.
- Accumulate 45 hours of flight time, of which:
-hours must be with an instructor .
-12 hours must be solo.

- 40 hours of private helicopter ground school.
- A score of 60% on the written examination. (PPHEL)
- Successful completion of a practical flight test.
- Reference CARs 421.31
