'' In this program, graduates with little or no background in journalism can enhance their understanding of journalism and develop skills as a journalist. Students examine the social and cultural roles of journalism while developing practical skills in writing, research and critical thinking across the full spectrum of media forms.

Course structure
Students choose from a range subjects that deal with the social, political and cultural aspects of the media. The course comprises of undergraduate subjects to the value of 60 credit points, which is the equivalent to half the number required for completion of the Graduate Diploma of Journalism.
