'' Cal Adventures is the Outdoor and Experiential Education Program of the University of California at Berkeley. For two decades, thousands of people have come to us for safe and fun outdoor-oriented adventures.
Everyone is eligible to participate in Cal Adventures trips and classes! Affiliation with the University of California is not required. Cal Adventures is committed to making our activities accessible to people who are differently abled.
Safety is our #1 concern. Although any outdoor activity is inherently risky, we are committed to ensuring your safety at all times. Cal Adventures instructors are required to have, at a minimum, CPR and Wilderness First Aid training; each has received extensive training within his or her disciplines.
Our primary focus is the introductory experience. Classes and trips are designed to be safe, fun,and non-competitive. By providing leadership and the resources necessary to promote experiential learning, adventure, community, and play, we strive to inspire a sense of self confidence and success in every one of our students and staff.
