'' The inclusion of “Systems�risk as a distinct risk category within Operational Risk in new BASEL II regulations has increased interest in techniques for Managing Systems Risks. The purpose of the course is for students to gain a working knowledge of and an approach to complying with new regulatory requirements as they relate to Information Technology. [Note the term Systems Risk is used to cover both Applications and Infrastructure]. The course is in three parts, spread over two days, interspersed with interactive case studies and practical class exercises: 􀂃 Part 1 looks at examples of “Systems Risk�and why such risks have become an issue for regulators and business management; 􀂃 Part 2 describes some of the theoretical frameworks that may be employed to implement a robust Systems Risk Management framework; and 􀂃 Part 3 describes practical tools for comprehensive and active management of Systems Risks. ...''
