'' Possessing the right talent has become the only sustainable competitive advantage for many organisations, while talent itself is increasingly in short supply. Motivating and Managing Talent in Challenging Times aims to equip executives with the practical tools needed to build their people capability in order to successfully implement their business plans.

Macquarie Graduate School of Management (MGSM) and The Academy Network have combined their academic and business advisory expertise to develop a practical program that enables participants to execute their strategic plans by developing and implementing a successful talent management strategy.

The workshop first helps participants to understand the organisational capability needed to succeed in their business strategy, and then focuses on the strategies necessary to attract, retain, assess and develop the talent required.

Content

Over two days, this highly interactive workshop provides practical tools, frameworks, latest research, case study analyses, discussions and experiential insights to ensure that the learning is relevant and useful. One session will also include a panel of industry experts who will share their experiences, highlighting the benefits of successful implementation and the pitfalls to anticipate.

Participants are led through a three stage process of:

developing a talent management strategy based on their organisation’s strategic business imperatives
executing the strategy, including analysis of likely roadblocks and ideas on how to avoid or remove them
monitoring and evaluating the strategy to measure and report on the added value provided and ROI
