The Managing Yourself to Manage Others program takes the position that managerial behaviour has a significant impact on organisational performance and before one can manage others, one must first manage oneself. This course highlights a self-development approach to develop and enhance one’s managerial skills and abilities.

Content

Managing Yourself to Manage Others aims to develop skills in self-awareness, self reflection and self-regulation in order to improve your managerial effectiveness.

This three day program aims to enhance the self-directed leadership capacity of participants. Utilising a series of psychological instruments, in-class activities, as well as information from 360 degree feedback, this practical and reflective program will increase your self-awareness of your management strengths and weaknesses. As the accuracy of self-awareness is dependant on the ability to manage emotional reactions to feedback and the quality of self-reflection skills, participants will learn how to develop these crucial tools.

The program will allow you the freedom to explore your own managerial "personality" as well as provide the support needed to identify areas of development. Featuring the use of ’Reflection Groups’, small self-coaching groups of 3-4 people that share and reflect on the assessments and experiences of team members, the program offers a confidential, safe and supportive environment for introspective activity.
