Course Description:

'' What is empowerment? How do people get turned onto their jobs so that motivation is not an issue? Learning and enjoyment are deeply connected to the way we get motivated in our jobs. We have found that when people are gaining learning strategies, and approaching their work as a stage for mastery and self-development, they become deeply engaged in what they’re doing.

The developing science of coaching allows us to take a skill set approach to managing people, as well as to building high- performance teams. We are coaching learning, and facilitating mastery.

This highly relevant 2-day program covers the following key areas:

Defining Managerial Coaching:

� What does coach training contribute to effective management?
� The key difference between "Boss" management and a "Coaching" style of management"
� Becoming a managerial coach
Explore Powerful Coaching Questions:
� How to coach the employee towards clear aims and results through organizing effective questions.
� Managers move from being "answer givers" to "question askers".
� Outcome development questions: Effective tools to create a clear mandate for change for your employees and clients.
� Vision development questions: Effective tools to create energy and commitment to a new vision
� How do people become passionate about what they want?
� The key aspects of the Outcome Framing and Creation.
â€? How to develop a plan to effectively align your goals and the employee’s goals with those of the organization.
� Questioning that conforms to the way the brain works best
� Questioning that fills in the most effective details of a plan
â€? How to enlarge the employees understanding through recognizing what’s missing
� How to enlarge the employees understanding through viewing a bigger picture.



Relationship Building Skills - Taking Coach Position:

The structure of effective coaching conversations starts with understanding the beginning, middle and end. We will practise building effective coaching sessions, in multiple settings; face to face, over lunch, or on the phone. We will work with the power of future pacing, as-if questioning, and frame setting to have your employee move to clarity and effective action quickly.



Effective Structures for Coaching:

Here, we will begin a systematic exploration of Solution Outcome Methodologies applied to coaching, and show how they integrate wonderfully to cohere a framework of powerful questions. We will show some best-practise methods for moving beyond ’hands on’ management. We will also integrate in the themes of working with customer complaint, and customer satisfaction.
� Effective Contracts and how they build success.
� Push Button questions, exceptions questions and scaling questions: Effective tools to clarify and prioritize aims.
� Systematic procedures for building resources: Future visioning tools for choosing and affirming the most effective learning strategies.
� The power of the Russian doll, and much more: New ways to clarify multi-level thinking.
� Experiential, hands-on well developed exercises.

Leading through Gaining Commitment - Moving Beyond the Fear of Failure:
Leading through gaining commitment not compliance, means that we learn how to manage by using people’s own self evaluations as the cornerstone to ongoing improvement. We leave behind the pitfalls of power management. It is important to understand the natural habits of leadership through feedback. We will start with the behavioral research on which understanding of effective feedback is based.
� How to develop your employees self evaluation of their own effectiveness.
� How to develop awareness of behaviors and their results.
� How to move beyond the "Failure Frame".



The Logic Of Effective Prioritization:

Working with Value conversations, determining priorities and defining the right outcomes through a series of coaching exercises. Prioritization is a key coaching conversation that assists our employees and ourselves to begin ’doing the hard part’ first, and ’beginning with the end in mind.’
We will also work with the power of systemic approaches that assist your employees to allocate their time wisely, and to take action on their critical success factors.
