'' All projects must have a budget. In this course you will be given an insight into Project Cost Management, which includes the processes required to ensure that the project is completed with the approved budget. This Project Cost Management course is aligned with the nine Knowledge Areas of the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) and forms part of the accredited Level IV program.
At the completion of this section, you should be able to:
Understand and explain the relationship of Project Cost Management to the Project Life Cycle Determine what resources (people, equipment, materials) and what quantities of each should be used to perform project activities Develop an approximation (estimate) of the costs of the resources needed to complete project activities Allocate the overall cost estimate to individual work items, and Control changes to the project budget. There are no set time expectations for completion of this course. The course is designed to be self-paced and you should navigate through at your own rate. If you work through the course without a break, you should be able to complete it within two to four hours. The course comprises of two sections (excluding overview), which may be completed separately. These sections typically require around one to two hours to complete.
