'' Critical links among people, ideas, and information are necessary for success in projects. Everyone involved in projects must be prepared to send and receive communications and must understand how the communications they are involved in as individuals affects the process as a whole. In this course you will be given an insight into Project Communications Management, which includes the processes required to ensure timely and appropriate generation, collection, dissemination, storage and ultimate disposition of project information.This Project Communications Management course is aligned with the nine Knowledge Areas of the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) and forms part of the accredited Level IV program.

At the completion of this section, you should be able to:

Understand and explain the relationship of Project Communications Management to the Project Life Cycle
Determine the information and communications needs of the stakeholders: who needs what information, when will they need it, and how will it be given to them
Make needed information available to project stakeholders in a timely manner
Collect and disseminate performance information
Generate, gather, and disseminate information to formalise phase or project completion.
There are no set time expectations for completion of this course. The course is designed to be self-paced and you should navigate through at your own rate. If you work through the course without a break, you should be able to complete it within two to four hours. The course comprises of two sections (excluding overview), which may be completed separately. These sections typically require around one to two hours to complete.
