'' The acquisition of goods and services is a vital process to facilitate the project’s scope of work. In this course you will be given an insight into Project Procurement Management, which includes the processes required to acquire goods and services from outside the performing organisation. This course discusses procurement management from the perspective of the buyer in the buyer-seller relationship. This Project Procurement Management course is aligned with the nine Knowledge Areas of the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) and forms part of the accredited Level IV program.

At the completion of this section, you should be able to:

Understand and explain the relationship of Project Procurement Management to the Project Life Cycle
Determine what to procure and when
Document product requirements and identify potential sources
Obtain quotations, bids, offers, or proposals as appropriate
Choose from among potential sellers
Manage the relationship with the seller
Complete and settle the contract.
There are no set time expectations for completion of this course. The course is designed to be self-paced and you should navigate through at your own rate. If you work through the course without a break, you should be able to complete it within two to four hours. The course comprises of two sections (excluding overview), which may be completed separately. These sections typically require around one to two hours to complete.
