Course Description:

'' The Master of Wound Care is a coursework degree that prepares the health professional for advanced practice in wound care. The masters program consolidates the theoretical and practical skills acquired in the Graduate Diploma in Wound Care and extends the student’s clinical reasoning skills in the critical appraisal of contemporary wound care practices. Students undertake a clinical project that explores the evidential basis for current practice and potential improvement of a complex wound care problem in the student’s workplace or within a healthcare setting.
Learning objectives
At the completion of Master of Wound Care students will be able to:

demonstrate a high level of critical analysis, problem solving and decision making related to the care of clients with complex wounds;
utilise an evidential basis for clinical decision making in the management of people with wounds;
demonstrate an understanding of the consequences of acute and chronic wounds from an individual and population health perspective;
demonstrate leadership and innovation in wound care that is underpinned by a continuous quality improvement framework.
