'' This course provides health and medical professionals with a broad understanding of the value and basic principles of biostatistical methods in health and medical research. The program assists in understanding the principles of epidemiology and its biostatistical underpinnings and practical application as well as improving computing and data management skills. The course comprises one core unit in introductory epidemiology and three electives chosen from health indicators and health surveys, mathematical background for biostatistics, principles of statistical inference, linear models, data management and statistical computing, clinical biostatistics, design of experiments and clinical trials, longitudinal and correlated data analysis, categorical data and generalised linear models, survival analysis, bioinformatics & statistical genetics, bayesian statistical methods. ...''
