'' In addition to private programs, we offer the following regularly scheduled courses. These courses are open to people aged 16 and older. Basic Rock Climbing This one-day program is suitable for anyone wanting to get into rock climbing. In this program we cover such basic skills as belaying, tying into the climbing rope, use of a climbing harness, and use of basic safety equipment. The course is led by professional mountain guides and covers techniques used for crack, face, and slab climbing. This course is also popular with climbers with gym experience who want to move into outdoor climbing. Basic Rock is usually taught at one of several crags in Icicle Canyon. We provide helmets, harnesses, all climbing equipment, and rent rock climbing shoes. The course is priced better than our usual programs in order to facilitate getting new climbers into the sport

Cost for Basic Rock: $95 per person
Intermediate Rock Climbing Intermediate Rock is geared towards people that have some climbing experience and need additional skills so that they can climb with a more skilled partner, or work towards leading basic routes. Skills covered in this course include building and evaluating anchors, placing and removing equipment, and climbing multi-pitch routes. This program is either taught in the Icicle or Tumwater Canyons. We provide helmets, harnesses, all climbing equipment, and rent rock climbing shoes.

Cost for Intermediate Rock: $95 per person
Rock Rescue Anyone who climbs regularly is eventually going to run into a situation where they need to raise or lower another climber. In this course we teach the basic rock rescue curriculum offered by the American Mountain Guides Association (AMGA). By the end of the course students will be able to raise a climber using 3:1 and 5:1 mechanical advantage, lower a climber, escape belays, ascend fixed lines, and tie a variety of releasable hitches. Students are encouraged to work with their own equipment, but we do provide enough climbing hardware for you to use ours for the day.
