'' This course equips clinicians and public health professionals with skills in clinical research methodology associated with epidemiology. Students gain a detailed understanding of epidemiology and biostatistics to a level that enables critical and detailed appraisal of epidemiological literature, and the conduct of projects requiring epidemiological and biostatistical expertise. The course consists of six core units and two electives covering introductory epidemiology, introductory biostatistics, clinical trials, clinical measurement, chronic diseases: epidemiology & prevention, research methods, ethics, good research practice & practical research skills, clinical epidemiology, infectious diseases, meta analysis and systematic reviews, injury epidemiology and prevention. This course articulates with the Master of Clinical Epidemiology and can lead to the Master of Public Health. ...''
