Course Description:
'' The Business Administration program offers the opportunity for both full- and part-time studies. It also offers a self-standing short certificate minor in Office Administration, as an elective. The program incorporates some of Cambridge University’s (CIE) International Business Diploma modules, providing optional Cambridge certification in selected courses. Candidates may choose to enter the Cambridge examination on selected courses and, on successfully passing the exam, receive appropriate Cambridge certificates. This is additional to the standard Metropolitan Community College diploma award to a student who has successfully completed all the prescribed course requirements of the Business program.
Requirements for Graduation in Business Administration In order to be awarded a Diploma in Business Administration, a student must complete 60 credits (i.e. 2 years�equivalent of an honours in BBA or BCom credit requirements) including:
Twelve credits from: �English (3) �Philosophy (3) �Business Mathematics (3) �Information and Communications Technology (3) �Political Science (3). Total Credits = 12 Business Diploma Core The Business Diploma Core requirement is 27 credits earned from: �Principles of Accounting (6) �Principles of Economics �Micro and Macro (6) �Human Resources Management (3) �Business Finance (3) �Business Organization and Environment (3) �Marketing (3) �Business Research Methods (3) �Statistics (3) Total Credits = 30 Business Diploma Electives In addition to the Business Diploma Core courses, 12 credits from Business elective courses are required from: �Effective Business Communication (3) �Sociology (6) �Psychology (6) �Productions Management (6) �Business and Corporate Law (6) �Managerial Accounting (3) �Organizational Behaviour (3) �Industrial Relations (3) �Entrepreneurship/Business Start-up (3) �Customer Service/Care (3), and �Interpersonal Communications (3) Total Credits = 12 Business Diploma Specific Skills All students are required to complete specific Business Diploma courses, namely: �Career Development Strategies (3), and �An independent research project, Directed Research (3) Total Credit = 6 Elective (Self Standing) �Office Administration (6) This may be taken as a short self-standing certificate course, and it counts towards the minor in Business Administration Diploma course requirements.

To earn a Cambridge Core Certification in Business - you must complete both Core Modules (courses) in the table.
To earn a Cambridge Optional Certificate in Business - you must complete any one Optional Module (course) in the table.
To earn a full Cambridge International Diploma in Business - you must complete 2 Core modules (courses) in the table plus any 2 from Optional Modules. ...''
