'' The Guitar Craft Academy offers comprehensive training in electric guitar and bass design, construction and maintenance. During the six-month (600 hour) NASM-accredited certificate program, you are trained in your craft under real-world conditions guided by professionals in the field. Design and build your personal instrument using the same methods, tools and equipment found in guitar shops and factories around the world. Experience all facets of manufacturing from woodworking, fretwork, electronics, and finishing to final assembly and setup. GCA instructors are experienced, working luthiers with extensive backgrounds in every aspect of guitar making, providing you with their unique, first-hand perspectives on the professional demands of instrument manufacturing and repair. As an MI student, you also take part in MI musicianship courses and receive a weekly one-hour private lesson on your instrument.
