'' Do you want to gain valued experience in a fast-paced hospital environment, providing support to a team of professionals and their clients? Do you work well under pressure and have the strong ability to prioritize, organize and meet tight deadlines?
The Nursing Unit Clerk program at Surrey College is designed to prepare students for careers in health care facilities that require the performance of a variety of office and communication skills. These duties are directly related to, or in support of, the delivery of patient care in a Nursing Unit. Well trained Nursing Unit Clerks are always in great demand. Employment may be found in acute care hospitals, rehabilitation hospitals, psychiatric hospitals, nursing homes, clinics and other health care facilities. Prior to graduation students must complete the "Introduction to Computers" course or show evidence of equivalence. Surrey College is pleased to offer a fulltime daytime Nursing Unit Clerk program which includes a six week practicum.
