Course Description:
'' Physical examination is part of a medical consultation, in which the physician looks, feels, and listens to various parts of the patients body in order to assess the patients condition. The main techniques used by a physician during a physical examination are inspection, palpation, percussion, and auscultation. Laboratory technologist carries out laboratory tests that produce the data necessary for physicians to diagnose, monitor, and treat disease. In this course, presentation includes how to understand those tests and use them for diagnosis and treatment. For example, in diabetes mellitus, two laboratory tests are done: testing urine for glucose and direct testing of blood glucose. A student must learn how to interpret such testing results. ...''
