Course Description:

'' This course will introduce the student into the wonderful world of Pro Tools with an emphasis on film, video and animation sound design. This is a great companion course to all of the animation programs offered at VanArts, as it will encourage the students to take their projects to the next level with the addition of their own unique studio work.

Students will learn the basics of Pro Tools in a post-production environment. Topics will include all aspects of sound design including: foley, bg’s, adr, sfx, creation, audio recording, editing and mixing. The course will mainly be hands-on from the first class to the last, and film clips will be provided to the students to work in a real-world scenario.
