Course Description:
'' This two-day course will introduce participants to the fundamentals of the air brake system for vehicles. Classroom instruction is comprised of 12 hours of theory and practical instruction. This is followed by a written and practical test.
Course content includes:
introduction to air brakes
the supply sub-system
the service brake sub-system
the spring (parking/emergency/ brake sub-system
trailer brake sub-systems
foundation brakes
demands on the brake system during vehicle operation
air brake compliance
inspecting air brake system components
functional checks of the air brake system
inspecting air brake adjustment
Upon successful completion of this course, participants will receive a certificate which confirms they have successfully completed their "Z" Endorsement. This certificate may then be taken to the Ministry of Transportation where it will be enter it into their system and it will appear on the driver’s license under the endorsement section.
