Course Description:
'' The Pharmacy Assistant program is designed to prepare the graduate for employment in retail and hospital pharmacies as well as in many settings where a strong knowledge of pharmacology is an asset. If you have strong interpersonal skills and think you would enjoy working as a team member and with the public, then the Pharmacy course may be right for you. Also required are basic math and computer skills, and some knowledge of human biology.
Graduates of this program learn classes of therapeutic medications, compounding of medication orders, sterile preparations, how to deal with insurance companies and ODB, generic and brand name medications.
