Course Description:

'' The objective of the Personal Support Worker Program is to equip students with the clinical skills and competence in a variety of clinical and interactive skills necessary for employment in a community or health care setting.

The responsibilities of the Personal Support Worker include assisting with personal hygiene, mobility, household management, meal preparation, ongoing medical conditions and medications, documentation procedures and vital signs. The Personal Support Worker will also be skilled in cognitive impairment and mental health issues, as well as providing optimal support and care planning.
