Training Course:AC Circuit AnalysisSchool/Trainer:RCC Institute of Technology Concord, Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Course Format: Classroom | E-learning | Virtual Class | Online/Live | On-site/In-house | Blended | Self-paced
Course Description:
'' This course on alternating current (AC) circuit theory extends the coverage of inductance, capacitance and resistance to include time varying responses and relationships. Circuit analysis is performed through the use of instantaneous equations and trigonometric identities to establish phase relationships as they pertain to various filtering networks. This will provide students with the capability to design and troubleshoot various filter circuits encountered in most practical work situations.
Topics include: relationship between magnetism and inductance; operation of AC generators; sinusoidal AC generation;AC terminology; vector diagrams and their representation; capacitive and inductive reactance as related to frequency; phase relationship between voltage, current and impedance with respect to resistance, capacitance and inductance; analysis of series and parallel inductor, capacitor and resistor combinations with respect to impedance, phase angle and power factor; characteristics of series and parallel resonance and various filters; principles of transformer operation; Q factor and how it is related to bandwidth; and calculation of AC power in series and parallel RCL circuits. ...''
