'' The Medical Laboratory Assistant/Technician (MLA/T) diploma program is designed to prepare you for a challenging career in a medical laboratory or medical clinic. This 32 week diploma program is offered during the day and includes a 6 week co-op placement.
Six weeks of co-op placement combined with 26 weeks of classroom instruction ensures you graduate with confidence in yourself and in your theoretical and practical skills.
Certification The Ontario Society of Medical Technologists (OSMT) offers a certification examination. The exam is offered twice a year, usually in June and November.
Graduates of our Medical Laboratory Assistant/Technician diploma program are eligible to write the OSMT examination. Successful completion of this exam will allow students to attain the designation of ‘MLA/T� Interested students must register and pay the examination fee to the OSMT. ...''
