'' Esthetics is a career dedicated to helping others to look and feel better. Unlimited opportunities available for men and women who practice as an Esthetician.

Esthetician training is an opportunity for a lifetime career in a dynamic and highly respected field.

Estheticians are specialists who offer preventative care of skin and give treatments to keep the skin healthy and attractive.

Students will acquire the necessary knowledge, understanding, skills and appreciation of the theory and practice of Esthetics. Instruction in the art and science of Esthetics include such topics as Anatomy and Physiology (structure and function) of the skin, waxing and tweezing, facial and body procedures, makeup, use of machines and business practices, to name a few.

Recent surveys show that there is an ever increasing demand for licensed Estheticians. Some of the positions open to you as a licensed professional are; Medical assistant, makeup artist, cosmetician, or assisting in film and photo shoots, Make up line consultants. Others have opted for the Salon and Day Spa venue which seems to be the popular choice given the public’s increased interest and awareness of skin care resulting in a boom for the industry.

Training at the South End Academy is focused on the perfection and mastery of face and body care techniques, the development of a professional work ethic, communication and Salon/Spa management.
Upon graduation, the student is highly qualified in the practice of skin care, facial, body treatments and can enter the Esthetic profession with a high degree of confidence.
