Course Description:
'' This course deals with arc welding equipment of the more advanced design as well as the topics of electrode selection and weldability for metals such as low alloy steel, cast iron and stainless steel. Emphasis will be placed upon the development of industrially acceptable skills. To this end, students will be required to pass the standard C.W.B. plate test in the vertical (3GF) and overhead (4GF) positions according to W47.1 acceptance criteria. Students who successfully complete said test will also be given the opportunity to prepare for the all position (6G) pipe test according to the acceptance criteria of A.S.M.E. section 1X. ...''
